Roes Red
Oak Barrel-Aged Flanders-Style Red Ale

ABV:
  7%

Format: 375-ml bottle

CHERRY. RED CURRANT. OAK.

Presenting batch #6 of our Flanders-style red ale, Roes Red—named after the Belgian town of Roeselare where the style originally developed. This is the first batch aged in our new 1,000-gallon Barolo cask from Italy; the aging process was initiated last year with a 50/50 blend of fresh Roes Red and one-year-old Roes Red, which had previously aged in French oak. The result is a deep red, mahogany-colored ale with notes of oak, cherry, dates, red currants and toast. The complexity of this beer is further driven by Winslow's proprietary blend of yeast strains—Belgian in origin—which produce sour lactic and acetic characteristics. A fresh take on a classic style, Roes Red is beautifully intricate and delightfully refreshing.
