Dizzy Midnight is our new bourbon barrel-aged imperial stout infused with maple syrup and Honduras-grown Nelson Moreno coffee from Michigan-based Madcap Coffee. To create this beauty, we began by splitting up the base stout—aging one-third of the brew in Cutwater Rum barrels for 17 months and the remaining two-thirds in Cutwater Bourbon barrels for 13 months. After aging and allowing both portions to soak up the unique nuances of each barrel, we blended the stouts and added decadent maple syrup and roasted coffee beans to take it to the next level. Aromas of bourbon, chocolate covered espresso beans, and snickerdoodle cookies greet the nose, while flavors of maple syrup-soaked pancakes, fresh coffee, and espresso ice cream dance upon the tongue. Sit back, relax, pour yourself a glass of this luxurious stout, and enjoy!
